New High School Teacher
Ms. Wilkerson is the newest addition to the High School Teacher force. She has 2 children: a 4 year old and a 2 year old, and a heart to help students, especially young adults. Her confident demeanor and playful attitude may have convinced you that she is a seasoned/experienced teacher but this is actually her first year teaching. Ms. Wilkerson’s previous job was as an Athletic trainer at Collin College, where she taught students how to correctly do exercises. She is from the Colony but currently resides in Plano. She is more interested in working in charter academies because of the small and inviting atmosphere. “I never wanted to teach in public schools to begin with, this is my first year teaching [and] I wouldn't teach in a public school,I like the charter environment [because] it’s more laid back. After being asked a few more questions about the school she stated that she likes: “the mutual respect between the teachers and the students” and When asked what her first impression of the school was, she excitedly said that she ”loves the school so far!” Legacy has been very friendly and open to welcoming Ms. Wilkerson. Let us continue to extend our hospitality toward her.
